So long Steve Harvey Show | Atlanta, GA

It’s been a real privilege shooting the Steve Harvey Show for the last 4 years when the show came to Atlanta for segments. The show is moving from Chicago to Los Angeles next season which likely means Ben Traylor Productions run with the Steve Harvey Show is over. We’re not the least bit bitter. We’re very fortunate to have gotten the opportunity. We’ve had the opportunity to work with Mr. Harvey in his Atlanta home a few times and on the set of Family Feud (which is also taped in Atlanta). We’ve worked with his daughters, sons, son-in-law and his wife Marjorie. We’ve worked at a few camps Mr. Harvey and his family are a part of in middle Georgia. We’ve worked with some great producers and other staff members from Chicago. We’ve also met some great people in Atlanta to help us, camera operators, audio techs, PA’s, grips, gaffers, make-up artists, set designers, etc. that not only helped Ben Traylor Productions that day, but has continued to help BTP on other shoots as well.  I hope this is not a good-bye forever to the Steve Harvey Show for us, but if it is, it’s been a great run.

This is the last video we shot for the Steve Harvey Show. It features his daughter, Morgan Hawthorne helping a mom create a birthday party for her two kids on the same day. There can be a lot of planning and prep that goes in to shooting some of these segments but Hawthorne makes it easy. We shot these segments over two days in Kennesaw, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  The first day we were in indoors mostly prepping the food. The second day we set-up at Swift-Cantrell Park. It was a huge success. The food was amazing, the kids loved their party and gifts and the parents were very happy.  The segments that aired weren’t too bad either. It’s a wrap!
